Our pilots routinely land on the varied grass and paved terrain at Lowell, while most schools will not allow their sutdents to land on un-paved runways. In addition, Lowell is situated below Grand Rapids class C airspace. You will be able to finely tune (no pun intended) your radio communication skills while interacting with Grand Rapids approach control and tower.
